At its General Assembly on 27 April, Luxembourg’s tourism promotion agency elected Jeanne Tonnar to head its Management Advisory Board.
On 27 April 2022, Luxembourg for Tourism (LFT) held its Annual General Assembly. On this occasion, the Board of Directors of the economic interest group appointed Jeanne Tonnar as its President.
Attached to the Directorate General for Tourism (Ministry of the Economy), responsible for the national tourism strategy, leisure tourism and remembrance tourism, Ms Tonnar succeeds Romain Weber for a three-year term.
“The Directorate General for Tourism will focus on strengthening the collaboration between industry stakeholders, both private and institutional”, the new President explained.
“The aim is to seize the opportunity to further coordinate the national tourism development policy and destination promotion strategy in order to serve the interests of the sector and to help businesses meet current challenges.”
After chairing LFT from 2016 to 2022, Mr Weber became Honorary President of Luxembourg for Tourism.
“After two terms as the first President of Luxembourg for Tourism, I am honoured to be appointed to this position,” he said. “Under this title, I will continue my commitment to defending the interests of LFT and the tourism industry”.
