In 2021, the LFT press team accompanied the production of at least three major TV productions. The French TV channel TF1, produced a Zoom report titled “Luxembourg, les secrets du Grand-Duché” (“Luxembourg – the secrets of the Grand Duchy”) for the weekend news programme. It covered highlights from the 180 steps of the blast furnace in Esch-Belval to a spectacular shoot against a backdrop of the rocky scenery of the Mullerthal.
In a one-hour film for its “Linea Verde” series, Italian TV channel Rai 1 whisked its viewers away to Luxembourg and showed a warm and tender portrait of the life of Italian immigrants and their descendants in a multicultural and cosmopolitan nation. German comedian Hape Kerkeling visited the Grand Duchy with a camera team from Vox to record an episode of the series “Hape und die sieben Zwergstaaten” (Hape and the seven dwarf states’) in which he rode in a rickshaw with the Schleck brothers, met Georges Christen, the world’s strongest man, and spoke with Michelin-starred chef René Mathieu.
LFT was involved in the preparation and support of all these programmes and was more often at the heart of these projects than on the side lines. These were true highlights on the press team’s calendar in 2021.
