If you say tourism these days, you also have to say sustainability. As of December 2024, there is an official sustainability concept for tourism in Luxembourg. It is intended to serve as a guide for future tourism development.
The United Nations has formulated 17 goals for sustainable development. This resulted in the "Plan national pour un développement durable 2030" for Luxembourg, i.e. Luxembourg's plan for sustainable development up to 2030. The national sustainability concept for tourism that has now been presented is based on this and is a concrete guide for decision-makers and actors in local tourism.
